Jason brings 17+ years of sales and marketing experience to Slabtown Marketing and has worked in the healthcare space for the past 7 years. He is adept at helping B2B organizations shift to content-focused, results-driven inbound marketing. His approach to content strategy and leadership style inspires companies to align marketing efforts closely with business goals and methodize processes to work more efficiently. His success reshaping company culture to champion thought leadership has resulted in high-quality content that exemplifies the business’ value and expertise and increased revenue from marketing-generated leads while reducing overall marketing spend. Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Alma College. 





Laurel Sutherland

Laurel Sutherland has more than 10 years of marketing and communications experience and has worked in the healthcare space for the past 5 years. Laurel is versatile marker with experience managing projects and publishing healthcare content. She has led the development of hundreds of pieces of healthcare marketing and communications content, and successfully managed multiple large-scale multi-discipline marketing and communications projects, delivering each one on time and within budget. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Arts and Humanities and Professional Writing from Michigan State University.

Slabtown Marketing was founded in the Slabtown neighborhood of Traverse City, Michigan. “Slabtown” is an old neighborhood nickname, related to its logging-town roots. We also appreciate its symbolic ties to concepts like grit, hard work, and building things that stand the test of time.
